Sustainability should be implemented in all business decisions and processes, including acquisition, operations, sales, financing, tax, and all training.

responsibilities

The CEO owns the sustainability and related policies.

The CEO and the Business Development unit are responsible for the sustainability strategy development. 

All heads of regions, cities, and departments are responsible for

  • implementing and communicating the sustainability policy
  • ensuring compliance with the sustainability policy
  • reaching the regions', cities', and departments' sustainability targets

Each employee is responsible for

  • reading and understanding the policy
  • implemeting their work into action pland to achieve the sustainability targets
  • reporting any behavior inconsistent with this policy

The Board of Directors reviews and approves the sustainability policy and the targets annually.
Management continuously evaluates the progress of the targets.
The CEO and representatives from the Business Development unit meet regularly to analyze and monitor the sustainability efforts.

Akelius has an Audit Committee and a Sustainability and Construction committee that reports to the Board.
The committees decide on relevant issues and meet at least quarterly.

UN Global Compact communication on progress
